Sometimes you'd like a taste of vacation or a reminder of a past event and Kahlua was part of that experience. If you don't need an entire bottle, try this simple recipe and make as much or as little as you need.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups vodka
- 2 cups dark cane sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup instant coffee crystals (We used decaf)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Bring the water to a simmering boil and stir in the sugar, vanilla, and coffee crystals. Keep stirring and simmering at medium to low heat for about ten minutes, until the mixture resembles a syrup.
Let syrup cool. Pour vodka into a bottle or mason jar or whatever container you wish. Add your syrup. Serve.
